Happy Client!

  • Email me with information about your project.
  • What is your budget?
  • Where will you use the audio? (Broadcast? Large or Small Market? Internal? Website? YouTube?)
  • How long will you use the audio? (For a week leading up to a sale? For three months? Forever?
  • What read style do you have in mind, and would you like me to provide a (free) demo of a portion of your script?  (This way we can be sure we agree on the style of read you want.)
  • Include any non-obvious pronunciations. Include proper names, whether you want acronyms spelled out or said as a word, if you have a particular way you want numbers or years read, etc.
  • Is there a specific length you need the audio to be?
  • If you are a new client, before I begin recording, I will request you submit half payment via Square, Zelle, Venmo, or Paypal.
  • We agree on a read style. If you requested a demo, you choose the one you like.
  • If you want a live, directed session, we do that (via Source Connect Standard, Zoom, phone call, etc.)
  • If you didn’t request a live session, I record your audio and send it to you via email or ftp in the file format of your choice.
  • Any remaining payment will be due on receipt, unless we’ve discussed other terms.
  • Your satisfaction is very important to me. We have already agreed on an overall style, and you’ve had the opportunity to request a demo to confirm we’re on the same page before we begin, but if you are not happy with how I’ve read parts of your script, I will re-record those portions and edit them in at no charge.
  • If you have minor changes to your script within 30 days of delivery (a sentence or two), I will do them at no charge.
  • If you have changes that are more than a sentence or two, they will be billed at a reasonable rate based on the length of revision vs original script, and whether they occur at one point, or require re-editing much of the audio (assuming you want me to edit them in).
  • After 30 days, revisions will be considered a new project.

The Icky Stuff

I know you would never do this, but recordings submitted to CLIENT as an audition may be used solely for the appraisal and review by those directly involved in the talent selection process. Publishing or distribution of the submitted audition for peer review, promotional or entertainment purposes should be subject to the explicit knowledge and agreement of the TALENT, be considered as use of the TALENT’s services, and be subject to payment at an appropriate rate.

And of course, I do not, under any circumstances, give permission for my voice to be used in AI or for AI training.
